Why did you choose your specialty?

I chose family practice because this specialty provides me the ability to build long-term relationships with patients and their families over a lifespan. It also allows me change my focus from disease management to disease prevention, while providing holistic, high quality, evidence-based patient care.

Why Hannibal Regional?

Working for Hannibal Regional provides me the opportunity to continue to work and serve within a rural community. My goal has been to stay close to home and be able to utilize my experienced nursing background to impact the lives of those within my own community.

What is the most important thing about what you do?

Making a difference, through education, is one of the most important things I am able to do as a nurse practitioner.

What is the priority (i.e., patient education, taking time to listen etc.) with your patients?

My priority is taking time to listen to patients and their families regarding all aspects of their life! My goal is to truly get to know my patients on an individual level. I am excited to get to know you and be able to watch you learn and grow! May your hardships be my hardships and your successes be my successes!
