Biography

Dr. Rosner completed his medical education at the University of Illinois and furthered his expertise through an internal medicine residency at Southern Illinois University in Springfield. His journey continued with a fellowship in Nephrology at Northwestern University in Chicago.

Nephrologists play a crucial role in diagnosing, treating, and managing acute and chronic kidney problems and diseases. Kidneys are vital because they filter waste and toxins from the blood, maintaining a balance of water, acid-base, and minerals in the body. Dr. Rosner shares, “I enjoy working with people that have manageable chronic illnesses. I help them to learn that they can live with kidney disease and I especially enjoy educating and encouraging them about strategies to maximize kidney health. Additionally, I love math and nephrology is very formula and numbers oriented,” shares Dr. Rosner.

Dr. Rosner finds it rewarding to see patients leaving his office with a smile on their faces and is focused on working with his patients to personalize their treatment options. “Kidney disease can be a very intimidating label. I enjoy educating my patients about what the labels mean and how, as a team, we can address some of the most important issues. I view myself as an advisor and supporter, not someone who dictates. By actively listening and understanding my patients, I can effectively communicate at a level where they feel most comfortable. I offer options and firmly believe that working together is essential to achieving the desired results.” says Dr. Rosner.
